Infant Baptisms is celebrated in mass every 4th sunday of the month at the 11:00am and 9:00am Masses. Baptism can also be celebrated outside of mass at the discetion of the pastor.
Parents should schedule the baptisms within the first few months of the baby's birth.
Baptismal prep classes are held every 3rd Wednesday of every month. Parents should bring with them a completed Baptism form, a copy of your child's birth certificate and the completed Godparents/Sponsor form. Guidlines and fomrs are located in the resources below.
Here at St. Michael Parish children receive their first reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion at the age of reason (i.e. 2nd Grade). Each child seeking these sacraments must register for Religious Education in the fall. To register please in the link provided below
In the Diocese of Honolulu, the sacrament of confirmation is received in grade 10 following a two year preparation program. Classes are held at St. Michael Church every Sunday at 11:00am and the Mission of Sts. Peter and Paul at 8:30am. Youth are required to be active members of the parish by particpating in the parish youth ministry program and attend the parish youth retreat held in the spring. Registration is held in July.
Couples preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony should meet with the pastor at least six month before the proposed wedding date and before any plans are finalized. CPREP course or an engaged encounter weekend is required in preparation for marriage. (please visit the links for more information)
Couples who are only civilly married, but desire to be married in the Church should also meet with the pastor for more information.
Men who are discerning the priesthood, religious life or the diaconate should meet with father for more information. Links for more informaiton on vocations below.
